It is hard to believe Wyatt is 1! He has been so many places and done so many things in his first year. I still think back to the first time I felt the first contraction. I don't think I was prepared for what was in store for our family. The most important thing I have learned in the past year is to enjoy family time. Whether we are sitting in the park or going to the beach, every second is precious. Wyatt has become this lil boy overnight. He is walking (well really running these days), eating table food and LOVING his desserts when we spoil him. He took his first trip to the ER when he fell and slashed open his forehead. Boys will be boys.
Wyatt's first birthday party was a day to remember. We had it at our new apartment w/ the big terrace. Both sets of grandparents and his Aunt Tara and cousin Jake were on hand to celebrate as well as our friends. There were close to 35 people celebrating this occasion. The theme was Elmo and the food was the typical barbecue food. Papaw was working the grill hard. Wyatt enjoyed his Elmo cake that Gamma made him.
I look forward to the 2nd year......
